Friction stir spot welding (FSSW), a spot welding technique variant form conventional friction stir welding. Comparing with fusion spot welding, such as resistance spot welding, FSSW showed its advantages of low energy consumption, less pollution and high joining strength. The robot friction stir spot welding system make full use of robot flexibility, greatly expands the application of friction stir spot welding.
